A FULLY ELECTRIC FUSO eCANTER WITH A SPECIAL TANK WAGON CONSTRUCTION DELIVERS HEINEKEN BEER IN AMSTERDAM EMISSION-FREE AND LOW NOISE.
„Heineken is pursuing ambitious sustainability goals. To achieve this, we look at the entire value chain, which of course also includes transport,” explains Hans Böhm, Managing Director of the Dutch brewery. That’s why Heineken now uses a green truck to deliver to cafés and pubs in Amsterdam’s historic canal district.
In both senses of the word, because the unusual 7.5 tonne truck is not only painted in Heineken green, but is also locally emission-free and quiet on the road – it is a FUSO eCanter. According to Heineken, the electrically powered light truck with a special body is the first beer tanker of its kind in the world. Its deployment is part of “Brewing a better World”, Heineken’s global sustainability campaign, which includes reducing the brewery’s carbon footprint.
