The two largest cities in Greece are taking a significant step towards sustainable urban logistics: Athens and Thessaloniki have ordered a total of 89 all-electric FUSO eCanter vehicles that will take over municipal waste collection in the future.

For one and a half years now, Berlin Brandenburg Airport GmbH has been relying on electromobility as part of its sustainability strategy for the handling of its internal waste and disposal logistics – as it turns out, this is exactly the right job for the FUSO eCanter 7C18e.

As always, bauma 2025 presented itself from its superlative side. From 7 to 13 April, the experts from FUSO were also represented at the trade fair in Munich and took the opportunity to address customers personally and to show genuine commitment to customer proximity.

With a FUSO eCanter 7C18e for the container change service, the disposal company Schönmackers is now delivering new waste bins to its customers. All in the spirit of sustainability – quiet and emission-free.

At freezing point and well below – in icy temperatures, a latest-generation FUSO eCanter is now proving its reliability under harsh conditions. Close to the Arctic Circle, Schenker AG uses the purely battery-powered 7.5-tonne truck for deliveries on the last mile.

“This day marks a new chapter in the history of Mitsubishi FUSO Truck Europe. As series production of the Next Generation eCanter is starting today,” announced Arne Barden, CEO of Mitsubishi FUSO Truck Europe (MFTE), proudly in front of over 100 guests from politics, business and the press.

With FUSO Europe, the brand and the Canter got a new sales organisation in Germany about 20 years ago as part of Daimler Trucks. Erk Roennefarth, now Head of Marketing & Product Management Europe, has been with the company since then – and knows a thing or two about exotics, pioneering work and Canter love.
